The Bombshell Jacket

Stoic Bombshell Jacket

Company DNA Stoic is a clothing line based directly on the specifications of their internet militia of gearheads. This unique aspect allows them the ability to stay ahead of trends and keep up with consumer demands.

Stoic Bombshell Jacket

Where We Tested It:

  • Backcountry skinning & skiing in the Rockies
  • On-piste at the resort
  • Around town

Pros:

This is a great jacket for touring due to its lightweight construction and efficient venting. Having two pockets, one on each side of the chest is great for radios, goggle wipes, and energy bars. We used this on a number of days both on and off-piste. It's a body shield from the pounding snow, sunshine, and heavy winds making it the versatile piece any telemark skier needs.

Cons:

The sizing was “small” and the cut of the garment could be longer in the torso. Better ass coverage is always a plus on the deep days. To Stoic’s credit they do recommend on their website that “if you tend to like a roomier fit, size up.”

Our Take:

This is a jacket perfect for someone that likes a sharp look with performance to match. It would provide a better relationship for someone who tends to spend a fair amount of time hiking OB, but also enjoys ripping lines inbounds. If you tend to wear tall tees at home and around town, this is definitely not your cup of tea, at least not at this point in life.
