Listen up you telemark fitness freaks, this is for you. On Saturday, January 7th, switch it into tour mode and flip up the climbing bars! Loon Mountain will be hosting a new event this year, the Telemark Ski and Skin Race. This uphill/downhill challenge will have Men's and Women's divisions, and top finishers will receive prizes — courtesy of Village Ski and Sport — from brands such as K2, Atomic, Garmont, Scarpa, Black Diamond and Rossignol. The race will take place on Lower Rumrunner and will be timed in 2 separate sections: the time up and the time down (telemark turns are highly encouraged).

The entry fee is $30 if you pre register online or $35 if you sign up the day of. Register online HERE, or in person at the Governor's Pavilion at 8 am on race day. The event will start promptly at 9:30 am.
