Treble Cone hosts Teenage Free Ski Camps this Winter

School holidays for teenage skiers just got a whole lot more interesting with Treble Cone’s teen-specific free ski training camps being held during the school holidays this July.

The camps provide young skiers interested in big mountain skiing the opportunity to explore the vast amount of off piste terrain, challenge themselves and advance in one of the fastest growing snow sports.

The two five-day camps (starting 18th and 25th July), led by eight-time New Zealand Freeski champion Geoff Small and working alongside an international team of coaches, will develop participants all-round skiing skills, enhance a safer big mountain experience and boost confidence taking on Treble Cone’s natural gullies, chutes and pipes.

“Teens passionate about their skiing will be in their element during the program. They will be skiing and learning with experienced coaches and taking on the awesome terrain of Treble Cone, which leaves mum and dad to enjoy their ski holiday,” said Julia Atkinson, Treble Cone sales and marketing co-ordinator. “Treble Cone is unique in offering such camps in New Zealand with its large scale natural terrain providing the perfect environment for young skiers to not only get the most out of the mountain but to develop their skiing to a level that can take them all over the world.”

For younger members of the family the TC Cat Club provides half or full-day group lessons for 5-15 year olds, helping kids explore and enjoy the mountain. The fully-supervised indoor child care area is ideal for children (from 3 years) who may tire of skiing and riding during the day and just want to relax and play.

The Treble Cone Free Ski holiday camps are available to teenagers 13-17 years with the first week also open for ages 11-13 years and cost $475 which includes 5 hours of tuition per day.

Treble Cone will open on 23 June with a scheduled closing day of 2 October. For further information or for bookings, visit www.treblecone.com.
